At Our School – Growing with Discipline and Joy

Students begin the day with a calm, happy start, walking to class in neat lines and greeting teachers warmly. Our campus is a safe, respectful space where everyone moves responsibly and keeps areas clean. Morning study time builds focus, while classrooms stay organized and welcoming for learning. Students speak confidently by raising hands, listen actively, and use every moment wisely. Breaks are enjoyable yet orderly, with attention to hygiene and respect for others. Lunchtime encourages good manners and zero food waste. At dispersal, students pack up, line up, and leave peacefully. Together, we create a disciplined, joyful, and inspiring school environment.

General Discipline

  1. Follow the instructions by the staff members politely and calmly.
  2. Be polite to all the staff members, elders, visitors and fellow students. Treat all people as you would wish to be treated.
  3. Respect other students’ privacy and family life, so they are not offended by what you say or do.
  4. Never insult, tease, or sear at any member of the staff, visitor or student.
  5. Never rush, fight or play-fight. Any type of physical or verbal abuse to anyone at any time will not be allowed.
  6. Never touch other students’ properly. Treat their belongings with respect.
  7. If you are offended physically, verbally or mentally by anyone, please report immediately to any member of the staff.
  8. Always be punctual to school and at the bell.
  9. Maintain the right posture during the prayer and national anthem and stand still where ever you are.
  10. Always be present in complete uniform.
  11. Make sure your uniform is neat and well pressed throughout every day.
  12. Respect each other and always lend a helping hand.
  13. Be aware of other people around you and behave well – on the way, on buses and in public places.
  14. Behave quietly and politely wherever you are and be aware of others around you.
  15. Walk briskly to school. Do not loiter in groups on the way.
  16. As soon as you enter the class rooms go straight to your seat and revise you previous lessons.
  17. Bring your hand book, lunch, water and study materials every day.
  18. Respect you Principal, Vice – Principal, teachers and all elders by greeting them.
  19. Show respect for your own learning and that of others by being silent when requested.
  20. Take active part in all the activities connected with the school.
  21. Respect other student’s responses and questions by being disciplined at that time.
  22. Always note down homework, projects, activity and assignments in your hand book and complete them on time and to the best of your ability.
  23. Make sure you catch up with your lessons when you are absent from school or lag behind in your work.
  24. Don’t throw or play with your pen, pencil or other study materials.
  25. Be eco-friendly. Keep your school compound green and plastic-free.
  26. Don’t loiter in town or treat friends while in school uniform.
  27. Be in a line and keep perfect silence while moving out to the labs, library, assembly, auditorium, chapel or playground.
  28. Keep your personal belongings in the respective places.
  29. Use polite expressions like ‘sorry’ , ‘thank you’ , ‘welcome’ etc. as and when it is required.

Rules & Regulations

  • As regular attendance is an important element for successful school work, no student should absent himself/ herself from attending the class without sufficient reasons.
  • In case of serious illness, the Principal must be informed on time, and leave application should be accompanied by a doctor’s certificate. Long absence from the school without prior intimation will be viewed seriously. They are liable to be removed from the roll.
  • Absence due to illness or any other reason should be intimated at once. Prior permission is required even for a short period of leave day or two. Leave record should be duly filled by the parent / guardian on the pages provided in the Hand book.
  • It is not advisable for parents to take away their wards during class hours. If a parent wants to take the child during class hours, prior permission of the Principal is required and the same should be intimated through the handbook.
  • Absence from test papers and examinations will be considered a serious breach of school discipline. Pupils who don’t appear in any of the terminal examinations, for any reason, other than sickness justified by doctor’s certificate will be considered having failed for that particular examination.
  • Children are not allowed to bring any valuable articles such as costly watch, radio, mobile phone, jewellery etc. with them.
  • Improper conduct reflecting character, irregularity, continual neglect of studies, disobedience insubordination and disrespect towards any members of the staff, malpractice at tests and examinations, thieving, immoral behaviour and other serious intentional offences, will attract expulsion from the school.
  • All students shall come under school rules from the beginning of the journey to school, on enroute back home.
  • All pupils should, at all times, maintain a high standard of dignity in their words and deeds.
  • Pupils should always be dressed in the prescribed school uniform or sports uniform, wherever applicable. Informal dress is permitted only by the Principal when it is found suitable.
  • Pupils should reach the school before the first bell, late coming is not appreciated.
  • Pupils who come late should obtain the signature of the Principal / Vice-Principal in the “Late Arrival Record” sheet of the handbook.
  • Speaking English is compulsory at school premises, in the school bus and at the bus stops while awaiting to board the bus.
  • Students shall be responsible for the safe custody of their belongings. As a precautionary measure, it is suggested that they have their names inscribed on articles like tiffin carriers, umbrellas, school bags, pencil box, etc. The school authorities will not be responsible for the loss of articles of students.
  • Lost articles retrieved must be claimed from the school office within a week, after stipulated time limit unclaimed articles will be disposed of.
  • No student is allowed to bring any software or pendrives or any other USB devices to the computer lab.
  • Any damage caused to the movable / immovable property of the school must be immediately reported and the damage will have to be rectified at own expense as decided by the Principal / Vice- Principal.
  • Classrooms and the school premises shall be kept neat and tidy. All waste papers must be put in the proper receptacle. Students must make a point of picking up and disposing of litter and caring for the appearance of the school.
  • No pupil may possess any literature without having approved and signed by the class teacher or English or Second language teachers, as appropriate. Unsigned literature will be confiscated.
  • No business transaction in cash or kind will be allowed in the school premises without prior approval of Principal.

Parent Engagement & PTA Activities

We prioritize parental involvement through active Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meetings and collaborative programs, fostering a supportive school community. Uniform Guidelines

  • It is compulsory that all students should be in full uniform as instructed.
  • Boys should wear vests under the shirt and avoid low- waist trousers at school.
  • Uniforms should not be altered according to you fancy.
  • All girls from classes 1-6 should wear a petticoat every day.
  • Tights are compulsory and should be well above the length of the uniform.
  • Girls should not keep their hair loose.
  • Girls from classes 1-6 should put their hair in two plaits.
  • Only black hair bands or clips are allowed.
  • Gold ornaments (except a small ear stud), fancy ear rings and bangles are not allowed in the school.
  • On festive occasions students should wear modest dress well below the knee level.
  • Collarless T-Shirts are not allowed.
  • Party wear should not be worn in school on any occasions.
  • Socks and inner wear should be changed daily.
  • Any student who requires exemption from wearing full uniform should get prior permission from the Principal.
